Symbiosis was started in 1971 by visionary educationist Padma Bhushan Dr. Shantaram Balwant Mujumdar, mainly as a ‘home away from home’ for foreign students studying in Pune. Since its inception, Symbiosis has grown into a large education group with schools and colleges spread across 20 campuses. Symbiosis has thousands of students from all across India and 80 countries pursuing various on-campus programs.

Aim: To create a model place of learning where students can gain skills relevant to the industry and become ‘industry ready’ for gainful employment.
Symbiosis Skills Finishing School: The objective of Symbiosis Skills Finishing School is to provide skills training relevant to the industry requirements in order to enhance the employability of today’s youth.
The Skills Finishing School will offer short-term Certificate Courses in high growth sectors such as Computer Science and Information Technology, Automobile, Mechatronics, Retail, Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), etc. The objective of these certificate programs is to create ‘industry ready’ youth who can be gainfully employed upon completion of these courses.
