CENTRAL LIBRARY
Symbiosis University Library has a rich collection of books on different subjects, magazines, newsletters and journals. It also has the EBSCO e-journal package subscription for engineering and management faculties. The automated library provides a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for scholars.
The University is well equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure to support effective teaching-learning activities. Classrooms are fitted with high-quality audio-visual equipment including overhead LCD projectors creating a platform for trainers to deliver informative lectures. Students also use the same for term presentations and seminars thereby developing skills that are superlative among their peer group.
The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled while wireless and wired Internet access is provided 24×7. This allows learning to move outside the classroom where one can discuss, learn and grow. It helps to maintain a wire-free campus with access to secured Internet for students as well as faculty.
Symbiosis University, Indore operates on a robust digital network comprising 400+ nodes across 14 modern computer laboratories, all connected through a secure LAN protected by a Fortinet 500D hardware firewall. The labs are equipped with LCD projectors and offer specialised facilities including the CATIA Lab, MATLAB Lab, AutoCAD Lab, SPSS Lab, Tally ERP 9 Gold Lab, High-Performance Computing Lab, and Cloud Computing Lab, providing students with advanced, research-grade computing environments.
A well-furnished and completely air-conditioned seminar hall constructed over 2,680 square feet is ready. A world-class auditorium of over 800 capacity is ready to host academic interactions, guest lectures, training programmes, conferences & seminars, MDPs, EDPs, FDPs and cultural activities.
The Symbiosis University canteen and mess serves delicious, hygienic and nutritive food to students and staff. The canteen is open from morning to late night. A qualified dietician and student committee decide the mess menu.
The University offers a number of sports facilities. A sports officer imparts training and support for developing, evaluating and monitoring activities of students. The following games are available:
Indoor Games: Table Tennis, Badminton, Judo, Chess, Carrom and Taekwondo. Outdoor Games: Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Handball, Kho-Kho, Softball, Baseball, Kabaddi and Volleyball.
SUAS has a spacious gym for workout and exercise. It has a selection of free weights and modern machines including treadmills.
The University has separate hostels for girls and boys complete with all amenities. The twin G+ structures are designed with 6 stories and can accommodate 700 boys and 700 girls each. A 24-hour security guard service and elaborate network of CCTV cameras provide ample security to the hostel grounds. Indoor and outdoor games are available. A recreation room with TV, cable and newspapers are also available.
