School of Banking, Financial Services & Insurance Management, Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences, Indore successfully organized a Webinar on “Angel investment opportunities for start-up” on 18th September 2021 from 02:00 PM to 03:30 PM by Ms. Amruta Shingwekar, Director Anaadi Ventures, GM, VASPL initiatives Pvt. Ltd.
She discussed the various stages of fundraising which included seed capital, early-stage, later stage, IPO, public market. The startup gets funds with no steep repayment plans, and the investor gets equity in an early-stage business with the potential for large gains as the company grows. The students also came to know about the various merits and demerits to find the right investor. Ms. Amruta also made them aware about what are the tips when preparing to talk to investors and mistakes to avoid while communicating to an investor. lastly, the students got to know about the various tools such as product prototype, pitch deck, online image. This webinar gave students deep insights into the topic and they also came to know some interesting facts.
