The Mega Event “SYMBIOZ 2018”
SYMBIOSIS UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES, INDORE, INDIA’S FIRST SKILL DEVELOPMENT UNIVERSITY CELEBRATED it’s ANNUAL CULTURAL FEST & SPORTS EVENTS FROM 24TH TO 28TH MARCH. In true sense, students played with their great minds & indeed rocked the floor @ Rabindra Natya Griha – Indore’s most happening cultural destination.
Symbioz 2018 initiated with Sports fest which continued for three days from indoor to outdoors. The students enjoyed themselves in various sports held at the University’s Green Campus. Different games including table tennis, volleyball, cricket, basketball, chess, lawn tennis, carom, LAN gaming with counter strike athletics and football were played by different teams by making fixtures of league tournaments and knock out tournaments.
Winners were declared on the third day, that is 27th March, of the event after the final matches. The third day witnessed the staging of a street play in the university hostel on the campus. The stadium was witnessed the national epic centre of gaming. Apart from learnings students really showcased their skills in sports. Many sponsors came up while motivating the student’s great momentum. The Skill oriented Industry Partners also joined hands with the students.
The cultural fest night was held at Rabindra Natya Grah wherein both the students and their parents gathered to witness the talent of Symbian’s with over 1000 footfalls and wow factor. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Dr Kailash Srivastava communicated with his selective words and enlightened about how Symbiosis Skill development is different from other Universities making Future Ready # Industry Ready professionals. Mr. Manish Singh, who is instrumental besides making Indore # No.1 clean city in the country and graced the occasion with his presence as Hon’ble Chief Guest. Chairman of the Cultural committee, Dr. Ashish Bansal, gave the inaugural speech on the occasion and welcomed the judges with floral bouquets.
From Nukkad Natak to Classical and contemporary Dance the students gave meaningful social messages to the society. Students showcased their talents with flute play, solo and group singing, poem recitation, and martial arts performance. Prize distribution and encouragement of outstanding performers through certificates illuminated the event schedule.
The program started with a beautiful dance on Ganesh Vandana which was followed by highly energetic and vibrant dance performances. Melodious songs on friendship proved to be a feast for the ears of the audience and the orchestral performances added to the vigour. Students also showcased their talent with mimicry and Fashion show of the latest Modern Retail & E-Commerce World trends. Students of all the schools including Retail & Ecommerce, BFSI, CSIT, Automobile & Mechatronics participated in the event with a lot of zeal and zest. The festival saw the ever-joyful face of the students and motivated many. The Parents also joined-in to watch their near and dear one’s performance on stage.
The program ended with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Mukesh Parashar, Registrar at Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences, Indore.
