Celebrations of 72nd Independence Day

In order to pay tribute and remember all the freedom fighters who had contributed a lot and fought for the Independence day of India, the 72nd Independence Day was celebrated on 15th of August 2018, Wednesday at Symbiosis University of Applied Silences, Indore.

Honorable Vice-Chancellor Dr Kailash N.  Srivastava was welcome by Dean Academics and Dean Students Welfare and escorted for hoisting of the national flag.

All faculty members, staff members, and students were present on the occasion. Prof. Konstantin Hassemer, Dean international study program, Konstanz University of applied sciences, Germany was also present as a special invitee.  The national flag was hoisted by the honorable Vice- Chancellor with great honor and pride.

After the flag hoisting, he addressed the gathering and paid tribute to the freedom fighters. He advised the staff members and students to be sincere toward their duties and studies respectively and contribute in the nation building. He emphasized the importance of skill development in the growth of the nation and cautioned that only knowledge acquisition will not be sufficient for the student’s employability.

There should be a paradigm shift in the traditional mindset of the people, and all the stakeholders should give more importance to the skill building. Symbiosis University of Applied Silences, Indore has taken initiative in the very right direction and sooner or later other traditional institutions will follow the same path.

Dr Anil M. Bisen, the Dean Academics reminded the audience that we got the independence day after great struggle. We should not only talk about our rights but should also talk equally about our duties and responsibilities. We can enjoy our rights only when we perform our duties wells. He gave his word of wisdom to the students and motivated them to perform well in the academics. He presented the vote of thanks for the function.

To mark the occasion cultural function on the patriotic theme was presented by the students of the university. Group Song, Solo song and dances, etc. were presented by students.

Dr Shatrughna Prasad Yadav, Dean Student’s welfare presented a patriotic poem written by Shri Jay Shankar Prasad. He emphasized that we need to do a lot to give true tribute to our ancestors, who were involved in the freedom struggle.   Dr Rishi Shukla, Assistant Professor, School of Retail Management presented motivating thoughts composed by the legendary.  He also emphasized the importance of our national language, Hindi.

Certificate of acknowledgment and appreciation were given to the students of the school of BFSI, Retail Management, CSIT, Automobile and Mechatronics for their outstanding performance in the annual cultural program, workshops, seminar and symposium, etc.

Prof. Konstantin Hassemer, Dean international study program, Konstanz University of applied sciences, Germany was welcome with flower bouquet by our honorable Vice-Chancellor Dr Kailash N.  Srivastava. Prof. Hassemer addressed the gathering and acknowledged the contribution made by the people of India in the scientific and technological development.

To provide medical facility to the students of the university, the medical center was inaugurated in students hostel campus. It has a doctor with his team of medical assistants with all needs for a regular health monitoring purpose. Gymnasium for students was also inaugurated by the honorable Vice-Chancellor Dr Kailash N.  Srivastava. This Gymanisium consists of all modern equipment and is located on the first floor of the hostel mess.

A high-end computer center with the latest software dedicated for the day-to-day problem solving for students of CSIT department was the main focus of inaugural function.  A dedicated IT team worked breathlessly to accomplish this task within a very limited time. The honourable Vice- Chancellor and Dean Academics congratulated them for their sense of responsibilities and hard work.
