The guest Expert session was conducted by Prof. Dr. Biswanath Swain on Significance of Business Ethics in Business Management. He is professor at Indian Institute of Management Indore and has done his PhD. From IIT Kanpur. The event was organized by Dr. Yogita Mandhanya.

In the very beginning he explained how business management is related to business ethics. He gave us his success mantra that to become successful it is important to follow ethical actions to sustain success. With the help of a case study he enlightened us about the various dimensions of business ethics, the problems faced at the time of decision making and the motivations behind a particular decision. He also explained about how sustainability can be achieved and different types of unethical actions done in business with employees, with customers, ecology, shareholders, competitors, media, client organization, international market and channels of distribution and how to avoid them. He also told about different types of business strategies: integrity and exploiting, and roles of an ethical change agent. This session was headed by a question/answer round in which each one of us participated enthusiastically. Attending his lecture was a great pleasure and a great opportunity for all the young developing minds of our class. Around 50 participants were present for the session.
