Guru Poornima Celebrations
Its Mission Green at Symbiosis University
Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences (SUAS), Indore – the first Skill University of India – celebrated the pious occasion of Guru Poornima in a unique way by planting Peepal saplings on campus grounds here today to highlight the importance of greenery on earth.
Planting the first sapling, Vice Chancellor Dr Sanjay Kumar said, “A peepal tree is of great use. We not only have a cultural bond with it but it also has numerous medicinal and health benefits.”
“Peepal roots go very deep. On this auspicious day, I pray to God that Symbiosis University continues being incomparable in the field of education,” he added. Thereafter, he made all faculty and staff plant saplings. On the occasion, the Vice Chancellor shed light on cleanliness drive. He urged all of them to take a vow of conserving greenery and forests.
Chairing the ‘Guru Aashirvachan Mahotasav’, he said, “A guru sows the seeds of affinity, love and harmony. He also works for the social & national uplift of his disciples.”
