IEEE Student Branch of Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences, Indore has been inaugurated on the occasion of IEEE Day, October 04, 2022. The objective of the program is to introduce the same to students and faculty as well to convey the core objectives and opportunities provided by the IEEE to its members. The program was also intended to demonstrate the uniqueness of IEEE which provides the platform to the researchers and academicians to connect and collaborate across the globe for the advancement of technology.

 The program was initiated by lightning the lamp and garlanding of Maa Saraswati by the dignitaries. The Chief guest of the program was Dr. Ram Bilas Pachori, Professor, IIT Indore and the program was also graced by Dr. Prithvi Yadav, Vice Chancellor, and Mr. Vishal Choudhary Registrar, Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences, Indore.

Dr. Hemraj Lamkuche, Faculty Counsellor, IEEE Student’s Branch, Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences offered the formal welcome to all the dignitaries and the attendees of the program. He also presented the overview on IEEE.

After the welcome address Dr. Prithvi Yadav, Vice Chancellor, Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences addressed the gathering and made the people aware about the benefits of professional society and he also appreciated the efforts of the faculty members for initiating the same.

After this Dr Ram Bilas Pachori, the Chief Guest of the program enlighten the gathering with the thought-provoking keynote speech. He explained about the benefits of IEEE membership and also explained about the pattern of research. He motivated the audience to engage themselves in the real time research for the betterment of the human beings.

Followed by the keynote speech, the Chief Guest has announced the name of elected office bearers of IEEE Student’s Branch, Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences. The elected office bearers are:

1. Chair: Rishi Sharma, CSIT, IV year
2. Vice Chair: Dhruv Agrawal, CSIT, III year
3. Secretary: Gaurav Vakare, CSIT, IV year
4. Treasurer: Shubham Gurele, CSIT, III year

The program was concluded by Er. Smita Prajapati, I/C Director, School of Mechatronics Engineering by delivering the thank you note. She congratulated the office bearer and motivated them to take the flag for the advancement of technology under the banner of IEEE.

The whole program was anchored by Mr. Fatir Mehdi, student, B Tech Mechatronics.

The entire event was effectively arranged and carried out by IEEE Team members under guidance from Dr. Neha Gupta and Dr. Kamal Kant Hiran, Associate Professor, School of Computer Science, and Information Technology.
