Fourth Induction Programme of Symbiosis University, Indore A Roaring Success

“Symbiosis is a skill-based university where the curriculum is prepared keeping corporate requirement in mind. This university is unique as it is preparing industry-ready professionals. The motto of this university is Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, and I am sure that students here will feel they are part of one big family,” said Mr Jitendra Patwari, Sports, Youth Welfare & Higher Education Minister, Madhya Pradesh government, who was the chief guest of the Fourth Induction Programme of the Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences (SUAS) organised on its campus today.

The proceedings commenced with lighting the ceremonial lamp and invoking the blessings of the Goddess of Knowledge, Maa Saraswati. Riddhi Bhargav presented a beautifully choreographed Ganesh Vandana in a dance form. Symbiosis University Vice-Chancellor Dr Sanjay Kumar gave floral welcome to the invited dignitaries.

A video presentation of Symbiosis University’s Honorable Pro-Chancellor Dr Swati Mujumdar was shown. Welcoming the esteemed invitees, new students and their parents, she said: “The objective of this university is to achieve excellence in education along with skills so that they become industry-ready from day one.  Our curriculum and courses that are aligned to the market. We also provide internships every year that gives work environment exposure to our students. I hope that your academic tenure here is successful and I wish you all the best.”

Addressing the august gathering, Vice-Chancellor Dr Sanjay Kumar said, “Symbiosis University is synonymous with quality and skill-based teaching. Our beloved Prime Minister has given the mantra of ‘Kushal Bharat and Kaushal Bharat’. But I promise all the parents here today that I will go a step further. I’ll make your wards kushal yuva and kaushal yuva. We will instil the six important qualities required to make a well-rounded personality in them – discipline, ethics, patriotism, skill-based education, innovation and academic brilliance.”

Adding further, he said: “I urge the youth to lay stress on learning soft skills besides enhancing their professionalism, enhance both Hindi and English speaking and writing so that you can succeed in every sense. This induction function is organised to motivate new students and help them in imbibing the ethos and values of holistic education at SUAS.”

Guest of Honour Mr Satendra Tiwari, who is Plant Manager, CASE New Holland Construction Equipment Pvt Ltd, said: “Performance is the key today. If your performance is good then you will get picked up by best companies in the world. Though the youth of today is very clear on what they need to do in life, they lack in attitude. You need to work on your character, behaviour, conduct, values and social etiquettes. So my 4-pronged maxim to the students is – PDCA – plan it, do it, correct oneself and act accordingly.”

Mr Praveen Agrawal, the guest of honour and CII State Council Chairman, said: “I congratulate you on becoming part of an exemplary educational culture of the country. Its approach of 70% practical teaching encourages students get involved first-hand and learn from the ground upwards. Your own approach – work ethics and cultural values – will decided how high you will reach. Remember that problems and challenges always bring opportunities with them.”

As a mark of gratitude, the Vice-Chancellor presented mementos to all distinguished invitees. Registrar, Symbiosis University, Dr Peeyush Pandey proposed the vote of thanks. The function concluded with the national anthem. Rudransh Jain and Harneet Kaur anchored the proceedings under the able guidance of Dr Yogita Mandhanya.

“सिम्बायोसिस एक कौशल-आधारित विश्वविद्यालय है जहां पाठ्यक्रम कॉर्पोरेट आवश्यकता को ध्यान में रखते हुए तैयार किया जाता है। यह विश्वविद्यालय अद्वितीय है क्योंकि यह उद्योग के लिए पेशेवर युवा को तैयार कर रहा है। इस विश्वविद्यालय का आदर्श वाक्य वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम है, और मुझे विश्वास है कि यहाँ के छात्र वाकई में महसूस करेंगे कि वे एक बड़े परिवार का हिस्सा हैं,” उक्त भाव श्री जितेंद्र पटवारी, खेल एवं उच्च शिक्षा मंत्री, मध्य प्रदेश शासन, और सिम्बायोसिस यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ एप्लाइड साइंसेज के चौथे इंडक्शन कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि ने (सुआस) परिसर पर  30 जुलाई, 2019 को व्यक्त किये।

कार्यक्रम का आरम्भ दीप प्रज्वल्लित कर विद्या की देवी माता सरस्वती के आह्वान से हुआ। इस उपलक्ष पर, रिद्धि भार्गव ने गणेश वंदना एक मनमोहक नृत्य के माध्यम से प्रस्तुत किया। सिम्बायोसिस विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति डॉ संजय कुमार ने सभी गणमान्य अतिथियों का पुष्प पुंज के साथ स्वागत किया।

तद्पश्चात, सिम्बायोसिस यूनिवर्सिटी के माननीय प्रो-चांसलर डॉ स्वाति मुजुमदार के सन्देश की वीडियो प्रस्तुति दिखाई गई। सम्मानित आमंत्रितों, नए छात्रों और उनके माता-पिता का स्वागत करते हुए, उन्होंने कहा: “इस विश्वविद्यालय का उद्देश्य कौशल के साथ-साथ शिक्षा में उत्कृष्टता प्राप्त करना है ताकि वे पहले दिन से उद्योग-तैयार हों। हम हर साल इंटर्नशिप भी प्रदान करते हैं जो हमारे छात्रों को काम का माहौल देता है। मुझे उम्मीद है कि आपका शैक्षणिक कार्यकाल यहां सफल रहा है और मैं आपको शुभकामनाएं देता हूं।”

सिम्बायोसिस विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति डॉ संजय कुमार ने अपने सम्बोधन में कहा कि, “सिम्बायोसिस विश्वविद्यालय गुणवत्ता और कौशल-आधारित शिक्षण का पर्याय है। हमारे प्यारे प्रधान मंत्री ने कुशल भारत और कौशल भारत का मंत्र दिया है। लेकिन मैं आज यहां उपस्थित सभी माता-पिता से वादा करता हूं कि मैं एक कदम आगे जाऊंगा। मैं आपके आपके सपूतों को कुशल युवा बनाऊंगा।”

 “सिम्बायोसिस विश्वविद्यालय अपनी गुणवत्ता तथा कौशल-जन्य शिक्षण के लिए विख्यात है। आपने यहां प्रवेश लिया, यह एक उचित निर्णय है जिसके लिए आप सब बधाई के पात्र हैं। मेरा आप युवा वर्ग से आग्रह है कि सिम्बायोसिस में उच्च शिक्षा प्राप्त करते हुए नैतिकता और राष्ट्रीयता भी सीखें।  प्रोफेशनलिज्म के अलावा सॉफ्ट स्किल्स में भी दक्षता प्राप्त करें, हिंदी और अंग्रेजी दोनों में ही में अपनी महारत बनाएं जिससे कि आप हर मायने में सफल रहें, उन्होनें आगे कहा।“

अपना आभार प्रकट करते हुए डॉ संजय कुमार ने सभी अतिथियों को स्मृति चिन्ह भेंट किये। सिम्बायोसिस विश्वविद्यालय के रजिस्ट्रार डॉ पीयूष पांडेय ने धन्यवाद प्रस्ताव पेश किया।

 अंततः, राष्ट्रीय गान के साथ इंडक्शन कार्यक्रम-2019 का समापन हो गया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन डॉ योगिता मानधन्या के सबल नेतृत्व में रुद्रांश जैन व हरनीत कौर ने किया।
