Industry Visit at TATA International Ltd
The School of BFSI, Symbiosis University of Applied Science, organized the Industrial Visit for the students of MBA & BBA Semester II to Rani Press Pvt. Ltd. Indore on 07th Feb. 2020 to Tata International Ltd. Dewas (M.P)
Objective of the Visit: The visit is organized so that the students learn about project management, process flow, human resource accounting and operating part of a manufacturing unit with respect to leather processing and conversion from Raw to Final material.
The visit to Tata International. Ltd. was an excellent learning experience for the BBA (BFSI) II SEM students as they have learned lot of things related to their subjects and had a new exposure towards leather industry along with process of manufacturing of finished product.
Tata International Limited [TIL] is a global trading and distribution company with a network of offices and subsidiaries spanning more than 39 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. As a member of the reputed business conglomerate the Tata Group, they uphold the highest ethical standards in the way they conduct businesses.
TIL is India’s leading exporter, manufacturer and supply chain integrator of leather and leather products with exports to over 35 countries. Their diversified product basket comprises a large range of footwear, finished leather and garments, all of which reflect contemporary trends in design and color palette.
They operate India’s only performance leather facility. Their quality and customer orientation have helped in build enduring associations with major global brands like Clarks, Caleres, Wolverine, Gabor, Deichmann, Zara, H&M, Marks & Spencer, and others.
Their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in India (Chennai and Dewas) and development centers in China and Portugal, besides a design studio in Italy have put them ahead of peers in terms of capabilities and the breadth of offerings. They are also the largest exporter of children’s shoes from India and have a major stake in Move-On Shoes, a leading Portuguese footwear retailer.
Students also visited the display section of their finished product and how they are marketed by various fashion brands.
