International Mother Language Day
International Mother Language Day is a worldwide annual observance held in February to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and to promote multilingualism. India is a secular country where about 22 languages are spoken.
Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences, Indore celebrated this day to create awareness among the students. An online event was conducted in which about 80 students participated. The students were addressed by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Dr Sanjay Kumar. He explained in detail the need to conserve your culture and to respect all languages. Thereafter, a competition was held where Students sang songs in their native language.
