About NSS
The National Service Scheme (NSS) at Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences, Indore is a platform for students to participate in meaningful community service while developing a strong sense of social responsibility, leadership, and empathy. Aligned with the vision of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, NSS empowers youth to contribute to national development through voluntary community engagement.
NSS Vision
To develop a democratic society with equality by supporting ‘Social Service’ without expectation and keeping sympathy for ‘All Living Being’ by accommodating each other’s angle of opinion.
NSS Mission
To foster enthusiasm and high moral values in students especially NSS volunteers through the activities, orientation programmes and camps. To develop students’ personality by Involving them (volunteers) in planning, decision making, organizing and execution of the activities of the unit.

This reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service.
Objectives of NSS
The NSS program aims to instill holistic development in students by engaging them in community service. Through active participation, volunteers are expected to:
- Understand the community in which they work.
- Recognize their role in relation to the community.
- Identify the needs and problems of the community and actively engage them in finding solutions.
- Develop a sense of social and civic responsibility.
- Apply academic knowledge to find practical solutions to individual and societal issues.
- Build competence for group-living and sharing responsibilities.
- Develop skills in mobilizing community participation.
- Nurture leadership qualities and adopt democratic values.
- Prepare to respond to emergencies and natural disasters effectively.
- Promote national integration and social harmony.
These objectives not only foster personal growth but also contribute to building a more inclusive, resilient, and aware society.

- Cleanliness and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
- Blood Donation Camps
