
Online Session on 3D Printing Processes and Applications
The School of Automation and Robotics organized an online session on 18 February 2025.
The session provided an insightful overview of various 3D printing technologies, including FDM, SLA, and SLS. Expert discussed material selection and its impact on print quality and durability. Real-world applications in industries like healthcare, aerospace, and manufacturing were highlighted. Challenges such as cost, precision, and post-processing requirements were also addressed. The session concluded with a Q&A, offering practical guidance on choosing the right 3D printing method for different needs.
Students gained valuable skills in subjects such as Industrial Automation, Product Design and Development, Manufacturing Process, Internet of Things, Embedded Systems, Robotics, and Dynamics of Machines.
